Local & global mission

We are passionate about showing you who Jesus is. Whether it is in our own neighborhood or across the globe, we can tangibly express God’s love for humanity through our outreach projects and mission trips. Join us as we extend our mission beyond our walls and share the love of Jesus in our local and global community.

Local Missions

Our church desires to invest in local ministries and organizations that help fill the gap for people in need in our community. Our approach is to form long-term relationships, where we can invest financial resources and create opportunities for our church body to serve and share the love of Jesus.

Global Missions

The life-changing message of Jesus Christ is intended for a worldwide audience. Our purpose is to impact nations by equipping believers to "go and make disciples of all nations" (Matthew 28:19.) We partner with the International Mission Board to connect with missionaries all over the world by providing short-term mission teams, financial support and other resources.

The purpose of the Worship Ministry is to use music and song to provide an environment for people to glorify God and experience life transformation. Accomplishing this requires a group of people who use their gifts and talents to serve God and minister to the hearts of His people. We would love to have you get involved. If you play an instrument or would like to work on our media team, we invite you to consider joining our worship family. We would love to have you serve with us as we worship God through Music, Arts, and Technology. If you are interested in being a part of our team, please contact us today!

What kind of sermons can you expect to hear at GCC? In a word, exegetical. All that means is that we allow the text to speak for itself.  We’re going into the word of God, and we are allowing the word of God to tell us what it means, interpreting it by other scripture and then just proclaiming that and applying that. And so that means that most of the time we are walking through a book verse by verse, line by line, however, even on times when examining a topic for instance love or grace, we are still going to the text and we’re going to allow the text to speak to us about love or about grace so that we’re not giving our opinion about a topic but we’re allowing God to tell us what he has already declared as the truth about love or grace.

community groups

We have been created to live in community and not in isolation. Physically, we do live in a community, but spiritually, socially, and relationally we often live our lives in isolation. We find ourselves with no one to turn to when we have a major issue that has just surfaced in our life. Living in community affords us the opportunity to more wholly experience God through close relationships as we play and pray together, as we encourage and help one another, and as we study and live out God’s word together.

At our church, a community group usually consists of 7-15 attendees in various life stages who meet on a regular basis in someone's home. These communities are about establishing relationships that encourage us to grow spiritually, offer mercy towards one another in our time of need, and, as groups, be the hand of justice in our community and the world around us.

Clothing drop-off

Have some old clothes you don't wear anymore? We'll take them! We have a clothing drop-off located behind the church.

We can only accept clothes, shoes, and accesories (belts, purses, scarves, hats, etc.). Please no furniture, books, appliances, household items, electronics, toys, etc. All of the items donated are donated to people in need.

In 2018, alone, our clothing drop-off brought in more than 6,900 garments of clothing which were distributed to clothe more than 800 people in need!  Thank you to all who donated in 2018!
