Our Story

Grantwood Community Church has a storied past, a blossoming present, and a confident future. Planted as Trinity Baptist Church in 1971, the church saw a congregation as high as 200 and as low as 12. With a passion to revitalize this church for the purpose of reaching the community in Parma, and with the help of the North American Mission Board, Trinity Baptist Church now acts as Grantwood Community Church. Our hope is that Grantwood Community Church would become an integral part of the local community, and with your help, we can actualize this hope.

In addition to the North American Mission Board GCC is also partnered with churches from all across the United States that are praying for and even sending teams to support the work happening right here in Parma.

These churches include; Faith Family Baptist Church (Kingwood, TX), First Baptist Concord (Knoxville, TN), Koinos Christian Fellowship (Troy, OH), Main Street Baptist Church (Lake City, TN), Pleasant Valley Church (Parma, OH; our sending church), and Wedgwood Baptist Church (Fort Worth, TX).

What's next?

Now that we have launched, there is so much to be done for the kingdom in our community. Our goal is to be a church that is growing together as one community in Christ. In order to accomplish this we must think biblically, live missionally, and love selflessly. These three keys will be the tools by which we measure all success in the gospel. As we continue in them, we trust that Christ will answer the prayer of Luke 10:2, "The harvest is abundant, but the workers are few. Therefore, pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest," and that we will be faithful to the task.
